As I explained in my thread on DDLC, people throw deconstruction around willy-nilly without really understanding what it means in its proper literary and structuralist context. If breaking the fourth wall was all it took, then any Looney Tunes short–regardless of context–would be a deconstruction.

Biggest problem with modern Looney Tunes, even COYOTE VS ACME (which I like) is that Bugs Bunny has been sanded down into a mascot. You watch him in the 40s or 50s and he's a freaky lil dress-up pervert who is down for anything. Assigned diva at birth. Nowadays, he's just a regular guy. Not my Bugs.

I went into Coyote vs ACME really curious about how they were going to make Wile E Coyote stay compelling for 90 minutes and they really pulled it off by having him build some new fuckass contraption in every single scene
