Sexual violence also boomerangs back into settler society – as colonial fascisms are wont to do – taking on a banal ubiquity within/among Israeli communities. An estimated 230 sexual assaults take place per day in Israel – 10% above the OECD average – w. a shockingly low relative rate of indictment.

Sexual violence is not incidental to the colonial project. It is its grammar. The many official reports on sexually tortured Palestinians are not aberrations. They document a system – recorded and cross-corroborated by the very organizations Israel’s defenders routinely cite when it suits them.

Campus sexual assault is not an “institutional problem” merely in the sense that assault takes place at an institution. It is an “institutional problem” in the sense that the institution fosters the conditions for the problem, punishes the victims, and colludes with the perpetrators to cover it up.

I've been hearing that Cornell's culture of fraternity fueled rape is especially bad since I moved to the US in 2017. Last year, the figure was over 1 in 3 female students who had been raped. The victims are often punished more harshly than the perpetrators are. I hope every chapter of Chi Phi burns

In 2013, the Daily Princetonian revealed that in 2008, Princeton University had paid to conduct a survey of students about sexual assault - then buried the results when *one in six* female undergrads reported unwanted vaginal penetration within the past year. That’s just under 17%.

Survey quantifies sexual assault

She didn't need the help of the CIA or the deep state in taking over mainstream feminism, she had worked for a decade in the magazine trenches in various oddball capacities (my favorite: she was the third notable assistant to Harvey Kurtzman on Help! besides Gilliam and Crumb) and made conenctions

to my knowledge, Gloria Steinem never went back on her opposition to sex workers' rights—such as when she urged Amnesty International to not support decriminalization, despite all the evidence that criminalization harms sex workers

Dolly and Curry in the same day? A heavy blow to all who exalt and revere the collective lumpenproletarian arts and labors that go into "looking this cheap," not to mention "giving yourself over to absolute pleasure." There's a better life, and you think about it, don'tchou. Rest in power, femmes.
