Dundee University taxpayer bailout refused after probe into £80m cash balance
The Scottish Funding Council has determined that the university has too much cash to receive a taxpayer bailout. Unions say it shows the level of cuts at Dundee is unnecessary.

Universities Scotland and Universities UK allow their member universities to break employment time and time again. Solidarity to colleagues at Edinburgh University who should take union reps with them in to those meetings. We have seen what happens when they are not allowed to join.
At a branch meeting today we voted to begin immediately the formal process to seek UCU authorisation for a statutory ballot for industrial action, including strike action and action short of a strike. We will not accept any compulsory redundancies at UoB ✊
