So I went for gas, $3.29/g @ Costco. Filled 15.38g ($50.62) but had to drive 15 miles, burning 44% of a gallon based on my MPG rating. Let's round to 50%, keep it easy—tack on price for total of $52.26. That said, we cleaned up 5% in rewards because of my wife's card. So I'll chop that off: $49.73.

Good news! After a hellish half-year, I can safely say I've got my mojo back 🏆💪 I'm back into a robust writing rhythm and have been working smoothly for two months now. Today's the first time in a long time, after so much effort, that I really felt the old joy. The reason I started writing. Man...

@mmm0pan.bsky.social totally not rude my friend, I'm so glad you shared! I've seen your sketches btw, me and my editor geeked out over them together :) I've actually been rereading this while caring for my mother after her stroke. It's been lonely and hard, so this was right on time. Thank you :)

rough-ish doodles of Aun'ui Yor'i from Elemental Council by @noahvannguyen.bsky.social... big fan of this cool guy apologies if tagging like this is rude, I drew these months ago and had to gather much courage to post this 🥹 love how vividly his clothes are described.. #warhammer40k #art #wh40k

Fellow Americans, you and I pay the men who killed Alex Pretti. We bought the pepper spray they used to blind him. We bought the guns and the bullets used to summarily execute him. Our money pays officials to lie about his murder. They picked our pockets and are terrorizing us with the proceeds.

If there's a general strike and I walk off the dayjob while still writing at home, I'm technically a both scab and a striker. A man of two faces, one foot in two worlds. Born to be a prince, chose to be a a pauper. 💅🔨☕️🥐🚘❣️

This isn't going to be the last time. The administration will stand by its Proud Boys and Oathkeepers, the goons will feel empowered, and more triggers will be pulled in even less excusable circumstances. It only ends when we decide it ends — either because we gave in, or because we stopped it.

One of my deathbed memories will surely be our discussion about the similarities between 40k and life in Hong Kong And great time to mention I'm on a Necron spree — "Infinite and the Divine" is next on my list 🎯 (Just finished Severed by @frogcroakley.bsky.social and WOW. I'm spoiling myself.)

The best direct flight to HK I could put my family on left from NY, so I did seven hours of driving today, some in rush hour traffic… …and had a *good-ass time* doing it, because it meant I could listen to the climax of ELEMENTAL COUNCIL by @noahvannguyen.bsky.social Y’all read this book? Read it!

@heretical-hatter.bsky.social This is incredible. I see your older version too. I can absolutely imagine different members in the intelligence cliques wearing their own caste's version, too. Fun fact, I spent a long time trying to figure out what to name the Hundred Eyes. My first draft had them...

@noahvannguyen.bsky.social Per my request - a great artist (Hayden Lumpkin) - with whom I work with for my Star Wars x Warhammer 40k crossover - created symbols for the Hundred Eyes. The organization YOU created. What do you think?

Just saw Predator: Badlands and holy shit. Just wow. 11/10 so much story, phenomenal acting, teach me your ways Dek and Dan Trachtenberg. Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamatangi, Elle Fanning, and the anonymous soldier android actor(s?) killed it. I don't even know what to do with my life now.

These Black Library Goonhammer digests are quickly becoming a staple reading for me. So many good updates @theblacklibrarian.bsky.social ! In particular, the commentary on GW/BL's anti-scalping efforts is interesting. All businesses have to weigh risks and mitigations. This helps determine...

This YouTube channel, @DeadliftsForTheDarkGods, publishes content I've been devouring these past few days. What got me is the guy did some voiceovers with sound effects for Elemental Council. A contact sent one my way, I was entranced, and now I'm just down the rabbithole. 10/10

I get the logic, Dept of War sounds more warriorly than Defense. But why stop there? Why not the Temple of War or Cult of Annihilation or Murder Inc or something? Tons of rebranding opportunities being missed right now smh

Yndrasta was a fun one to write. I have this monster story that I thought would be cool for her: a horror story in Sigmaron where she's hunting down a beast that chews up Stormcast for fun. Kind of like "Murder by Moonlight" turned on its head.

What a better place to read @noahvannguyen.bsky.social’s Yndrasta than on a train through Alaska? It feels right. #BlackLibrary #WarhammerCommunity

A train window looking out into the Alaskan wilderness. In the windowsill is a special edition copy of ‘Yndrasta.’ The cover is an artists portrayal of the winged huntress.
