Today is World Migratory Bird Day. Please say hello to the Pfeilstorch (‘arrow stork’). In 1822 this bird was shot in the German village of Klütz. It already had a 30-inch arrow in its neck. The arrow was made of African wood, and this bird played a pivotal role in our understanding of migration.
For the first time in what must be 30 years of being a fan, I turned off the #F1 today before the end of the race and just went and did something else. I feel sad, but I think I've reached the point where I just don't care about it anymore
