Listening to Commotion today about “the cost of being silent” and it’s quite a different tone than for example, the CBC’s own silence for the last three years… weird how that works once it’s relatively safer to speak up 🤷🏻‍♀️

NEW: Corb Lund has penned a letter to Premier Smith, calling for an immediate coal moratorium, claiming that former Elections Alberta staff have raised serious questions about the validation process of his petition.

Excited to join the #FEELedLab as a visiting researcher next week. I'll be running a climate, weather, and wellness community writing workshop as part of my #SSHRC postdoc at #UNBC, as well as engaging in research-creation immersed in the local ecosystem. 1/3 thefeeledlab.ca/2026/09/02/r...

The #SealeyChallenge is a great time to support poets published with small presses (like me!). If you can’t buy books, you can always borrow from your library. In Canada, authors get paid through a public lending rights program, so suggesting your library acquire a copy is also helpful! #Poetry ❤️📚

Sometimes dreams do come true. I’ve loved books and bookstores and libraries since I was a wee kiddo, and I dreamed that one day maybe I could make something that would be on the shelves. Grateful and proud to be an author and editor with two book babes 🤩📚

Two books standing up on a brown wooden patio in front of a potted pink begonia plant. The books are Attic Rain by Samantha Jones, which has a blue cover with yellow sort of smiley faces, and the book I'll Get Right On It! edited by the Land and Labour Poetry Collective, which has a red and black cover with white text.
