Trek Marry Kill Podcast

We love Star Trek. Some episodes are good (TREK), some episodes are great (MARRY), and some are neither good nor great (KILL), but we love them anyway because it’s still Star Trek! But since we are a podcast we must grade them all to decide which is which.

I was out of town last week and forgot to post about our bonus episode on the Section 31 movie! It’s a great one-off episode for those of you who are Star Trek fans, but who don’t listen to @enterprisesplain.bsky.social merely because you aren’t interesting in Enterprise content.

Our crew is heading out on an away mission this week to visit the infamously lowest-rated Star Trek project on Rotten Tomatoes, the TV movie Section 31. Of course, Jamie and Bill refused to actually watch it, and instead forced @mariadsouza.bsky.social to explain every moment of the movie to them.

Top portion features the EnterpriseSplaining logo with the subheading “A Star Trek Podcast”
Middle portion is an image from the TV movie Star Trek Section 31 showing Philippa Georgiou in a black leather outfit with shoulderpads. Her hair is up in a bun and she is sitting on a chair with her arms outstretched. Below, there’s a section in blue with the white letters saying “Away Mission to Section 31!”

In addition to joining TrekMovie's Status Update 2026 panel, I'm moderating 2 panels on the main stage—one on the first day & one on the last! Come on by. If I can make it, I will run from my Sunday SNW panel to the Treksperts room to join the in-progress podcasters panel. Hope you see you there!

Happy TOSS Birthday to Wah Chang, unheralded creator of many things, including the Laser pistol, tricorder, Talosian head makeup, and much more. Going uncredited because he wasn't in the union, so they couldn't legally hire him to do design work. Crazy story. #TOSSatNight

Using lists of three is not an "AI tell." It's a common trait in human writing because our brains biologically want to make sure there's always one thing to marry, one thing to fuck, and one thing to murder.
