I'm in Las Vegas for STLV, but I am remote-control Momming already! My daughter texted me about something that was missing (wondering if I'd taken it with me accidentally) and I suggested 3 places to look and she found it in the first one. Mom for the win!

This sounds amazing and I will be going! Yay!
I'm going to be at STLV this weekend! Specifically at the 60 Years of Star Trek Showrunners panel on the main stage. SAT 8/8 @ 12:45. A roundtable about how Star Trek has evolved w/ Brannon Braga, Ron Moore, Terry Matalas, Michelle Paradise, Mike McMahan, Andre Bormanis and Kevin & Dan Hageman.
In addition to joining TrekMovie's Status Update 2026 panel, I'm moderating 2 panels on the main stage—one on the first day & one on the last! Come on by. If I can make it, I will run from my Sunday SNW panel to the Treksperts room to join the in-progress podcasters panel. Hope you see you there!
I am really not good at accepting things that don't turn out the way I wanted.

I cannot fathom using AI to write. I would spend more time editing it and trying to fix it than it takes to do it myself. It’s also absolute garbage at understanding nuance, voice, audience, etc. It legitimately decreases your authority as you don’t learn anything from the process.
Who are we going to see in Vegas? #STLV Away Team:
One of the most important issues of our time is that the future of humanity is presently being authored by people who have nothing but total contempt for humanity and seek the erasure of everything that gives being a human meaning. It’s not just annoying. It doesn’t just suck. It’s existential.
This is great! Spread the good word.
I work at a public library. People who want to use AI seem to have no trouble doing so. People who don't want to use AI have a harder time. I crowdsourced and then finalized this document "How to disable or avoid intrusive AI" and then gave it a short URL: notoai.org Please pass along if it's useful
I somehow don't think that I can avoid posting this photo of William Shatner and birthday lady France Nuyen on Broadway in The World of Suzie Wong.
I am with this dude 100%. I agree with every single thing he says, and I share his rage.

This whole thread... I had a similar experience with Business Insider. I sold two pieces to a specific editor, then pitched a third. Pitch was accepted. Revisions were requested and completed. Never published, never paid, never answered any of my emails after that. It still bothers me.
On June 5, she said she’d look at it the next day. She didn’t, which happens. I filed another Tribeca piece, which ran the following Monday 6/8 — two days after HUMPTY DUMPTY X premiered. “On to the American History X piece next!” she wrote. That was the last time I heard from anyone at Vulture.
So much SDCC news, lots to say about the horror episode, bits of the week... A good time was had by all. Listen wherever you get your podcasts.

This was a VERY fun movie. Totally surprised me.
Remember Dungeons & Dragons co-creator Gary Gygax--born on this day in 1938--by traveling to Neverwinter and watching HONOR AMONG THIEVES for free before it leaves Pluto TV at the end of the month: pluto.tv/on-demand/mo...
I wish he'd also felt that way in "The Man Trap," but what can you do? Even as a kid I was confused by them killing the salt vampire. It just wanted salt! Give it salt.
Spock is right
So excited about this...

Happy birthday to @nanavisitor.bsky.social, who is extraordinary. ❤️
Join us in wishing a happy birthday to Nana Visitor, aka Major-then-Colonel Kira Nerys on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine (and Lower Decks too). She has written a must-read book about women in Star Trek. Celebrate with some hasperat (or a birthday cake and meditation)!
Loved our chat with Chris and can't wait to have him back.
The All Access Star Trek podcast is the gift that keeps on giving: Listen to our in-depth interview with Strange New Worlds producing director Chris Fisher, who digs into the season premiere, the series as a whole, and his new book about virtual production. #StarTrek https://apple.co/4x2Mgrk
Yesss!!! So deserved. I really want them to do more of these.
Holy Cow — we did it! Nicholas Meyer, Kirsten Beyer, and I have won the Scribe Award for Best Audio Drama, for our nine-episode epic STAR TREK: KHAN!
Omg so many. Jason Isaacs and Anson Mount for sure! I thought they were just normal actor-handsome until I was face-to-face with each and then I had to struggle for composure!
Random question: what celebrity have you met in real life who was dramatically better looking than ypu thought they were based on on screen appearance?

#SDCC comic con: our daughter left her 3D printed black dragon in the restroom near E/Starbucks. She printed it herself and is devastated. We checked the restroom and lost and found which means someone picked it up. If you bring it to 5552 I will give you a signed comic as reward
He was so ubiquitous when I was a kid that I keep expecting my kids to know who he is. They do not. All hail Bert Convy!
Actor, singer, panelist, producer, and Emmy-winning host of TATTLETALES Bert Convy (1933-1991) was #BOTD. In baseball they'd call him a five-tool player. Happy birthday from the Banana Section! #TVSky
