Tfw the only song here that's been charting for less than three months is that Morgan Wallen song that sounds exactly like everything else around it...
Early Billboard Hot 100 Predictions (chart dated September 12th, 2026)
When Elton John released Crocodile Rock in 1972, the early days of rock and roll that he was fondly reminiscing about were about 15 years in the past. That would be like putting out a song in 2026 about your fond memories of Skrillex.
I did not know it was possible to make Winnie the Pooh merchandise with a vibe so truly rancid
So funny watching the media try to write 2000's era Grand Theft Auto Outrage articles now that the whole country is a casino run by murderers.
Logged on to make a post about Dolly Parton, only to see that we lost Tim Curry too. Always strive to do and be the most good that you can, and give your full self to every artistic pursuit in your life no matter how odd or offbeat, that's all I have to say. I'm going back to bed man, this sucks.
Tame Impala in 2026 seems to be trying to edge into pop stardom by bridging the gap between Sombr and The Weeknd, and as it turns out, the space in between Sombr and The Weeknd is really quite obnoxious.
"We have all the biggest names in music, from Taylor Swift to Ed Sheeran, from Maroon 5 to Jelly Roll." -iHeartRadio ad I just heard at the gas station
When it first came out, I unironically argued that "Lucky You" by Joyner Lucas and Eminem was going to save hip hop. In the same video where I said that, I said that rap beefs were pointless and dumb, using Machine Gun Kelly as an example. That video is literally still up on my channel right now.
Hot takes are annoying, tell me a strong opinion you had about music at some point in your life that changed
2026: The year of people who are pretty good at making pop music doing that job reasonably effectively.
Truly we are in the era of Pleasant Women. The Tame Impala song is the edgiest song on here and the second edgiest is Ariana's.
Paul McCartney and Ray Stevens should team up to make a sequel to "The Streak" where they detail how Ray got arrested and forbidden from ever going to that stadium again after he ran naked through it. It should be called "Banned on the Run."
Just saw Toy Story 5. Good movie 👍 It's the most lowkey and quiet movie in the series, but that worked to it's benefit. Definitely a safe movie, and it pulled it's punches and held back on a lot of it's ideas more than I'd hoped, but the narrative and writing were very clever and cute overall.
Oh wait, Stella Lefty is a billionaire nepo baby? Pfffft okay yeah, that makes a lot of stuff about her make a lot more sense. "Boston" is a cute song, I don't dislike it or her, but it's been quite a while since I've seen a song/artists whose rise has felt this inorganic.
I'm curious what happens with Stella Lefty honestly, I think it's cool that country music has its first Jewish star, potentially. And the daughter of a billionaire! So much ground being broken here
No experience with media I will ever have again will come close to how disappointed it was to be 13 years old, expecting an adaptation of my favorite TV show by who my parents told me was one of the best directors of all time, and sitting down to watch M. Night Shyamalan's "The Last Airbender."
What's the worst movie you've ever watched in a theater? defector.com/whats-the-wo...
"If there was a problem, yo, I'll solve it... check out the hook while my DJ revolves it" is a genuinely good lead-in for the hook of an early 90s pop rap song.
"Don't be so political about everything Sean, it's just pop music, who cares?" The Top 10 for the 4th of July:
Early Billboard Hot 100 Predictions (chart dated July 18th, 2026)
"Courtesy of the Red White and Blue" is embarrassing to play at any time but especially right *after* we got our asses kicked in the Middle East
Early Billboard Hot 100 Predictions (chart dated July 18th, 2026)
The “vibe shift” proclaimed Nov. 2024 - Jan. 2025 was just some elites—in business, media, law, and some higher ed admins—who kinda liked the fascism and gave themselves permission to accommodate it. That’s all it ever was. A close presidential election is not somehow a binding cultural referendum.
"Party in the USA" was written by a Brit (Jessie J) and was clearly meant to be a foreigner's view of America. But, in Miley's hands, it becomes a story of a country girl in the city, an American in a different part of America, and thus a celebration of the entire country and all our commonalities
Damn July is already pretty crazy, whaddaya mean we're gonna do 4 of these things?
This an official Vatican photograph of Leo at Lampedusa, Italy - one of the world’s heaviest migrant sites - where he went this morning to pray for migrants who died at sea. This is after turning down the offer to come to the United States.
Just a reminder that patriotism isn't holding a bible and wrapping yourself in the flag while you violate the Constitution and plunder the country. Happy 4th of July, stay cool and safe!!
The concept of a country defined by a unity of different peoples and cultures from around the world is genuinely beautiful, and while the ways in which the US has failed to live up to that ideal are obvious and glaring, we have also had some real standout successes for that ideal over the years.
Okay, since it IS her birthday weekend, everyone needs to say one nice thing about the United States of America. I’ll go first. Her geographic diversity is really something. There are so many stunningly beautiful places here from ocean to mountains to rolling green hills to desert.
first proper art post on here ^-^ i drew Stan, Charlie, Kat, and DZ from @seanfaywolfe.bsky.social's Elementia Chronicles book series (a favourite of mine since childhood), using a mix of the book description, cover art and my own personal interpretations whilst reading. not rendered yet :P
I'm lost for words. The fact that I had to take such a long upload gap to deal with a bunch of harrowing life bs, that I put my faith in my community to still be there for me when I got back, and to have that faith rewarded with far and away my best numbers EVER? Thank you. That's all I can say.
