Since today is an International Day Against Trafficking, we wanted to talk about ethical production of art & merch. All our projects are co-led by a trafficking survivor, so this is really important to us! We also hope this inspires you to follow these guidelines in your own art too. 🧵

A graphic showing digital mockups of the merch from the Moments of Euphoria project. Text reads, "Ethical merch production: tips for creating merch without forced labor and negative environmental impact. Tip 1: Search printing companies for 'forced labor' and 'modern slavery' policies. Tip 2: Ask companies directly if they avoid forced labor. Tip 3: Consider environment-friendly alternatives (paper merch, paper sleeves, wooden pins). Tip 4: Buy local whenever possible! Share to help other artists create more ethical merch!"

SPUR’s new report details how catastrophic it will be for Bay Area transit riders if the public transit funding Measure RTM fails. But drivers will feel it too, w an estimated doubling of Bay Bridge crossing times and more than 3X longer through the Caldecott Tunnel. www.spur.org/sites/defaul...

“The Bay Area's Top Three Highway Bottlenecks After Potential Transit Cuts
The Bay Bridge, Caldecott Tunnel, and I-680 in Walnut Creek/Concord would experience some of the most significant travel delays in both directions if looming cuts to transit service are not prevented.

Don't dream it, be it. 💫 Rest in power, Tim Curry, like the legend you are. 🖤 Fun fact, one of my performances as Frank was the first time I implemented they/them pronouns for myself before using them exclusively a few years later. ✨ Thank you for being such a genderfuck icon, Tim Curry. ❤️‍🔥

Gary, IN has been abandoned just like so many other predominantly Black cities have been when disaster strikes About 40% of the city's 67,000+ residents have been without power for over a week. No refrigeration or AC during the heat of summer - I can't see this happening in a majority white town

‘I can’t take it’: Thousands of Gary residents go over a week without power after deadly storms

Residents in Gary, Indiana and surrounding areas are struggling to stay cool, fed and connected after storms cause prolonged power outages.

Did you know BART has been installing bioretention areas, often called “rain gardens,” at stations across the system? These landscaped areas are designed to slow, capture, and naturally filter stormwater, removing pollutants like harmful hydrocarbons, heavy metals, and debris. #EarthDay

This #EarthDay, BART is celebrating how choosing transit is an impactful action people can take for the environment. From improving air quality to easing traffic and lowering transportation costs, transit is a powerful climate solution already built into the Bay Area ecosystem Thread ⬇️
