At UNESCO Headquarters, I met with Gaspard Banyankimbona, African Union Commissioner for Education, Science, Technology and Innovation. We agreed to continue cooperation focusing on VET & training and in promoting the skills needed by the labour markets in collaboration with the private sector.
It was good to exchange views with UNESCO Director-General Khaled El-Enany. The EU remains committed to strengthening our partnership with UNESCO to advance quality education, support teachers, develop skills, and build more resilient societies. (1/2)

📌 DEAL! @consilium.europa.eu and @europarl.europa.eu reached a provisional agreement on the regulation to facilitate the e-declaration of posted workers. One of the first deliverable under the One Europe, One Market roadmap.
I welcome the provisional agreement reached by the @europarl.europa.eu and the @cy2026eu.bsky.social on a single digital declaration portal for companies posting workers temporarily to another EU country. It is an important step the enforcement of EU labour rules.
