Today, the OECD published the PISA global study that evaluates 15-year-old students’ abilities in reading, mathematics, and science to solve real-world problems. For us, this year's results send a clear signal: too many young Europeans are falling behind in essential skills. (1/2)

Today, on World Youth Skills Day, the European Skills High-Level Board presented its first recommendations - Skills Partnerships for Adult Reskilling. Regional ecosystems where businesses, education, training providers and social partners finally work together, instead of side by side. (1/3)

At UNESCO Headquarters, I met with Gaspard Banyankimbona, African Union Commissioner for Education, Science, Technology and Innovation. We agreed to continue cooperation focusing on VET & training and in promoting the skills needed by the labour markets in collaboration with the private sector.
