Clancy's Rustic is another species which is rapidly spreading across Yorkshire. This one from my garden is the first for VC65.

Phyllonorycter pastorella has colonised Yorkshire rather quickly. Following the first record last year, we have records from all five vice-counties this year. Found at Fairburn Ings RSPB today - the first for VC64. @andydnunn.bsky.social
Until this year, White-speck hadn't been seen in Yorkshire since 2008. There have been one or two about this year. This one from my garden is the first for VC65.
Phyllonorycter pastorella from Pugneys CP today near Wakefield. Spreading across Yorkshire now, with records from VC61, 62 and 63. Phyllocnistis xenia on White Poplar also spreading, and this from St Aidan's NR is the first for VC64. @andydnunn.bsky.social
I potted a tiny micro off the outside of the 40-W actinic trap in my garden last night and it turned out to be Anatrachyntis badia, the first record for Yorkshire (VCs 61-65). I must admit I'd never heard of it! #teammoth #YorkshireMoths @doublekidney.bsky.social @eggboxenvy.bsky.social
Striped Hawk-moth in my North Yorkshire garden trap this morning. I've lost count of the number in Yorkshire this year, but it's certainly over 20. Is this a separate wave or are these offspring of the May/June immigrants. Possibly offspring, as larvae have been found. @migrantmothuk.bsky.social
An unexpected Cypress Pug from the garden trap this morning. New for VC65.
No light trapping recently as I've been away, but luckily I left the camera trap pointing at the nicotiana plants. Convolvulus Hawk-moth new for the garden! #teammoth @doublekidney.bsky.social @migrantmothuk.bsky.social
NI Moth from the garden last night, Driffield, East Yorkshire. A scattering of other migrants Rusty Dot Pearls, Diamond-back Moths, Rush Veneers as well as 2nd Celypha rosaceana and 5th Ancylosis oblitella for this year. @doublekidney.bsky.social @migrantmothuk.bsky.social @bcyorkshire.bsky.social
Oak Lutestring, one of ten that were attracted to light at a site in North Yorkshire VC62. Extremely rare here in Yorkshire although there seems to be a reasonable population at this one site. #teammoth @doublekidney.bsky.social @bcyorkshire.bsky.social
Heavy rain and 242 Large Yellow Underwing was a challenge this a.m. Ancylosis oblitella(Saltmarsh Knot-horn), Vestal, + 'rhubarb and custard' Oncocera semirubella(Rosy Knot-horn) was worth some soggy egg boxes. @doublekidney.bsky.social @migrantmothuk.bsky.social #teammoth @bcyorkshire.bsky.social
Another two new species for my North Yorkshire garden last night, Neocochylis hybridella and a rather overdue Ni Moth which is turning up all over the place this year.
Some nice moths in the last two nights in North Yorkshire. Manchester Treble-bar was a major surprise at home. Two Cydia amplana at Nosterfield NR are the first for VC65 - seems to be quite an influx, and Ptocheuusa paupella at Ellington Banks is the first for VC64 and quite a range extension.
More migrant moths in my East Yorkshire/VC 61 garden last night, with the second Ni Moth of the year (after one in May), a different Vestal from the night before, two White-point, three Small Mottled Willow, etc. #teammoth #YorkshireMoths @doublekidney.bsky.social @migrantmothuk.bsky.social
A Vestal was a long-overdue addition to the garden (VC 61/East Yorkshire) list last night. Also a recent Morophaga choragella (second record) and a Heliozela resplendella mine on alder (first record). #teammoth #YorkshireMoths @doublekidney.bsky.social @migrantmothuk.bsky.social
A presumed migrant Cydia amplana(Rusty Acorn Piercer) to light in the garden Driffield, East Yorkshire last night. Only 6 VC61 records and a total of 10 in Yorkshire up to this year, the last one in 2019. #teammoth @bcyorkshire.bsky.social @migrantmothuk.bsky.social @doublekidney.bsky.social
A Small Marbled in my garden (East Yorkshire, VC 61) last night! #teammoth #YorkshireMoths @doublekidney.bsky.social @migrantmothuk.bsky.social
Some good moths from Pilmoor in VC62 last night - the third Yorkshire record of Sitochroa verticalis and Cydia amplana.
Saltmarsh Plume (Agdistis bennetii) @flamboroughbird.bsky.social VC61 yesterday. Very few records away from the Spurn area in Yorkshire although there have been a few inland also in the last few days. @bcyorkshire.bsky.social #teammoth @doublekidney.bsky.social
Some nice moths from Upper Teesdale near High Force this weekend, including Chestnut-coloured Carpet, Juniper Pug and Anomalous. A rather under-recorded area. Chestnut-coloured Carpet was last recorded there in 1880! Good to know it is still thriving.
More interesting moths in the last few nights, including Bordered Straw (on lavender), Pyrausta despicata (new for garden), Nephopterix angustella, a third Dewick's Plusia (on lavender) and three Small Mottled Willow. #teammoth #YorkshireMoths @doublekidney.bsky.social @migrantmothuk.bsky.social
Caloptilia semifascia from the garden trap last night is new for VC65.
Great haul in my Romanby VC62 garden despite the thunderstorms (trap under cover). 38 species including two new for the garden: V-moth and the tiny Lesser Tawny Crescent. According to Yorkshire Moths website this is the second most northerly record of the latter. @doublekidney.bsky.social
We trapped Reddish Light Arches at Walton near Boston Spa last night. This is the first VC64 record since 1965,
Privet Hawk-moth has been expanding its range slowly across Yorkshire, and has at last reached VC65. This was in the garden trap this morning.
Cochylidia rupicola in the garden trap this morning is the second for Yorkshire and the first for VC65. What a lovely creature!
Very in moth trap this morning so delighted to find a Ni moth on first egg box at Swinefleet VC63 #Yorkshiremoths @doublekidney.bsky.social @celastrina59.bsky.social @migrantmothuk.bsky.social
Eastern bordered straw trapped overnight at Swinefleet VC63 other migrants 10 silver y, white point and 2 rush veneers. Also only my second purple bar @migrantmothuk.bsky.social
A miracle has occurred in my garden. After making a complete hash of potting a Ni Moth in the morning, I netted what was surely the same individual nectaring on red valerian last night. Off to buy a lottery ticket now. #teammoth #YorkshireMoths @doublekidney.bsky.social @migrantmothuk.bsky.social
