Genderfluid berserker Eydrun battles witch-hunting paladins, an eldritch zombie apocalypse, & her own repression to protect Darja, the nascent sorceress & “best friend” waiting for her back home. A hurt/comfort epic w/ swordfights by one of the top 7% longsword fighters in the world. #queerpit #F #A

It's remarkable how inciteful these young people are. One of them notes that, for many, extremism is rhetorical, when in reality it is a practice with real, tangible repercussions. Another notes wanting to grapple with topics from all angles made him more susceptible to the online nazi pipeline.

Political violence and extremism are indisputably becoming more common. But for one group - young Americans - that's not a change. It's been the norm all their lives. @leahsottile.bsky.social spent months with a group of students for this @thewesternedge.bsky.social feature.

Last year I sent one of my servers to a COLO, but have only been accessing it through a jumpbox VM. Not anymore. I just connected my 8x Nvidia V100 server to my home server rack over 100mi away. In ~20 minutes, Twingate had both networks talking, no firewall shenanigans required. #ad #sponsored

The misogyny of Survivor s30 is unhinged. It's the first season I've rewatched that I can't recall a damn thing about. I probably blocked out the intense hatred of women these dudes have.

Issue #3 of Scribe and Sigil is out now. In Heavy Metal Daydreams, I rail against AI. Nothing I haven't said a thousand times, but this time, it's in writing! Disagree? Write me a letter in the next issue and I'll publicly rebuke you! Just like the old days! scribe-and-sigil.com/2026/05/01/s...

At this point there is hours of video of me railing against AI on Craft Computing. I'll never stop. It's frustrating this shit is crammed into any tool or program you may use. But it's easy to disable it, hide it, or use something else. I will write my shit on paper and mail it in before I use AI.

Laura Keating@lorekeating.bsky.social · 4mo ago

I keep seeing "all authors use AI, the real issue is they're being forced to be sneaky about it" headlines. Full stop No. This is a lie peddled for normalization. It's schoolyard-level pressure tactics "C'mon, all the cool kids are already doing it. We won't tell. It's fine. We're on your side."

My monthly zine, Heavy Metal Daydreams, is out in Scribe & Sigil #2! This publication is stronger than ever, so many fantastic contributors! Read and see for yourself, write us a letter, or better yet-come contribute yourself!

Episode 50 of the third season of my TTRPG podcast features my first ever published sword and sorcery short from years back, called The Seven-Sealed Flask. It's pretty short as far as audio length goes, so why not take a listen! And we'll be back next week. www.dndpodcast.net/podcast/empt...
