Alberta NDP Candidate for Edmonton-Ellerslie. #BetterIsPossible

Thank you, Edmonton-Ellerslie, for putting your trust in me. I’m grateful to everyone who welcomed me, shared their stories, and supported our campaign. SE Edmonton sent a strong message to Danielle Smith and the UCP by demanding better. I look forward to being your voice in the Legislature.

Gurtej Singh Brar is elected in Edmonton-Ellerslie. Today, Albertans in Southeast Edmonton voted for a strong community leader and their voice in the legislature.

Whether a parent is trying to protect their child or a senior is trying to avoid hospitalization, we shouldn't have to pay to protect our health. The UCP is not “cutting waste.” They are making us pay for public healthcare. Albertans deserve better. www.cbc.ca/news/canada/...

The UCP’s plan for overcrowded ERs? “Just walk it off.” Like you are the burden. You’ve told me about the wait for cancer care, joint surgeries, and doctors who’ve left. We need more healthcare workers, treated with respect—and a new hospital in South Edmonton.

The UCP cancelled the South Edmonton Hospital, but they want to blame YOU for the overcrowded emergency rooms. Naresh Bhardwaj says Albertans should “just get some fresh air” instead of holding the government accountable. Edmonton-Ellerslie deserves better. On June 23, #VoteforBetter.

I attended Inderpal Singh’s funeral with hundreds of others this week, and I am still heartbroken for his family. He was a hardworking father whose life ended because of senseless violence. His wife is days from giving birth. His young daughter lost her father. /1

I didn’t move to Alberta. I moved to Canada. Like many families in Ellerslie, we came here because Canada should mean a safe community, opportunities to thrive, and a place to call home. That’s worth fighting for. On June 23, vote to protect our province and our country from Danielle Smith.

A cabinet minister from the UCP gov't will be at a fundraiser for separatists, showing that the UCP is set on destroying Canada. Alberta jobs & investment are being lost while the UCP cozies up to separatists. Albertans DESERVE better. #ableg #abpoli
