As we announced during our 10th anniversary episode, Board Game Blitz (the podcast) is coming to an end. Our final episode will release on August 6. Thanks to everyone who has reached out to share stories or fond memories you have of us and the show. It means more than you know.

My kids have been listening to phantom of the opera and I love how one of them will confidently belt out the wrong lyrics. “And though you turn from me, true love’s behind, the phaaaaaaantom of the opera is there…”

Today I posted my 2nd ever video review. Apparently I only feel comfortable making reviews for games where I can play through the whole campaign/scenarios and have finished it (the 1st was Tragedy Looper). I’m wearing the only fireworks I’m seeing today because sunset is way after my kids’ bedtime.

My kids made up a game called Guess the Game. We play in the board game room and take turns giving clues to describe one of our board game boxes (based on the image on the box). I wonder if this means we have too many board games.

I just went to the National Museum of Taiwan History and they had a special board game exhibit this month! I took 29 pictures of different games (hoping to make a video when I get back), but here’s one in the western games section of Monopoly!
