Got to personally thank both Christine Baranski (my little gay heart!) and Richard E. Grant for a wonderful performance of “Hay Fever” at the stage door tonight 🤩

Me: I’m not seeing “Oh, Mary!” for the third time when I’m in London next weekend! *Has two glasses of Kylie’s Sauvignon and discovers stall tickets for £28* Me: I’m seeing “Oh, Mary!” for the third time when I’m in London next weekend!
Started reading @mcragg.bsky.social’s “Can’t Get You Out Of My Head: In Search of Kylie” this evening. I’ve been looking forward to this one, and I’m really enjoying it so far!
I’ve spent much of today finally reading @scottygb.bsky.social’s wonderful “Out Now”. Carly Rae has been soundtracking the time in between. It’s been a very gay Sunday, which is obviously the best kind of Sunday.
Louder for the people in the back!
World is going to shit but thank god for Carly Rae Jepsen.
I’ve just heard Carly Rae Jepsen’s “Burning Heart” for the first time and I’m a bit devastated that I’ll never have that experience again. Fucking hell.
There’s not enough of ye talking about Carly Rae Jepsen today (except @andyukb.bsky.social). I’m clearly not following the right people.
Between work and being social tomorrow, I don’t think I’ll have enough time to properly listen to Carly Rae’s “Day and Night” (and Meg’s “Crave”!) 😭 If only I could take a sick day (and actually get paid for it but heaven forbid).
I’ve written about Kylie’s 12 best non-hits. Justice for Tightrope! And Made of Glass!

‘You start to worry you’ll never listen to anything else’: 25 years of Can’t Get You Out of My Head, the song that saw the future of pop
Rejected by Sophie Ellis-Bextor, the minimalist dance-pop opus would become the defining song of Kylie’s career. And, a quarter of a century later, it hasn’t lost its capacity to burrow its way into y...

There's a bottle of Kylie rosé in our fridge and it's been there for a few weeks now. Unheard-of behaviour, but it's kind-of nice to know it's just... there? Like in case anything happens.
“Fabulous” from “High School Musical 2” was playing in Easons Galway today. Taste!
I love that this ever-so-slightly oppressive signage make it looks like Britain is living under the authoritarian dominion of Judy Garland’s brutal regime:

He's been sitting on this for over a week.
Saw “The Dog Stars” and all I have to say is, Ridley Scott? More like Ridley STOP!
Paused our first ever viewing of “Scrubs” (a few episodes into season three and it’s quite boring) to finally start “Adults” instead. I love when TV is fun!
Got a good laugh from this post because I felt the exact same when I finally finished it. Seasons one and two were pretty great, but Christ was the rest of it a slog (especially season five - fucking hell).
Did I mention that I finally fucking finished The Bear
A little mortifying to revisit my Tumblr from many moons ago (via the Wayback Machine - that blog is long gone!). But it did make me reminisce for those days when spending time online was a bit more purposeful and fun. Now we’re always online, wasting time, and dealing with quite scary algorithms.
they don’t make moments like this anymore they just don’t
25 years ago today, Kylie Minogue released “Can’t Get You Out Of My Head.”
Irish political parties in power looking at attempts by governments around the world to appease the far right absolutely not working
feels like everyone would be a whole lot happier if we made a three-day weekend the new normal.
Saw “Leviticus” last night (thank you Omniplex Sligo!) and I’m still a bit stunned at how brilliant it was. A heartbreaking film that deserves so much more attention than it’s getting.
Now that autumn is here, it's time to plan some holidays to look forward to. Back to London at the start of Oct. which everything is mostly sorted for, just need to pick out some shows to see. Then in Nov., we're looking at heading back to Madrid - only been there once so would be nice to see again.
Same, especially around lunchtime (assuming they’re fantasising about soup).
fantasising about ****
My niece is starting school tomorrow. It is honestly horrifying. Where did the last five years go??? I hope she gets on okay 🥺
