He could have quite explicitly stated that they don't, because they don't. This isn't an area to go "oh people think". We have the evidence. They just don't. If you want to claim to be a progressive, liberal, party, you have to actually challenge right wing, predominantly, lies and scare mongering.

Ed Davey, speaking later on the BBC, is invited about three times by Laura Kuenssberg to say that asylum seekers do not pose a greater proportional threat to women than men in general. He does not.

LRT making friends is the most important part of any creative career if I can be so honest with you. is good to work on your craft but if you have three people in your life who like what you do you will go so far

No. It’s more complicated than that. The UK Supreme Court also cited the notorious “sex-based right” advocates that indirect discrimination is a group-based protection against others, and a handful of subsequent cases now argue that inclusive practices can be indirect discrimination.

"Sex-based rights" is a marketing phrase. It takes the right to exclude trans people, which no law grants, and dresses it up as a protection everyone already has. When Rowling says she's defending sex-based rights, she means the second thing. The UK Supreme Court didn't change this.

This is the image. It's fine to draw trans women as legibly women because we are women. It is subversive to draw trans women like this because most depictions of trans women intentionally exaggerate 'innate' masculine features with an 'artifice' of femininity, denying transition's efficacy.

UN Free & Equal graphic that says "Trans Women Are Women" over drawn images of trans women.

There is no evidence puberty blockers are harmful to kids. There is plenty of evidence trans kids die if they don't get them. Labour banned them.

This is fascinating. I think it's important that we discuss this - people in general want the best for themselves and others, but don't believe others want that. We could do with being a little less cynical about our fellow people, I think!

This finding of "hidden" public support for green policies strongly echoes our work on pluralistic ignorance when it comes to non-car travel: most people support non-car travel more than car travel, but at the same time they believe this is a minority view

We should recognise that many of the premises underpinning the Cass Review, the policies that followed, and now the PATHWAY studies are fundamentally unsound. Any medical student could grasp these points within ten minutes of reading some textbooks. Hello?

Do people realise that puberty blockers don’t stop growth, and that they’re used to treat precocious puberty precisely because the condition would otherwise bring growth to a premature halt (at the end of the puberty)?

Brianna Ghey was not killed by her phone, she was murdered because she was trans. Abusing her memory to justify heavy-handed acts of censorship that MPs have been desperate to impose for years is absolutely sickening

On Brianna's 19th birthday, this morning I joined @cheshirepcc.bsky.social and the Brianna Ghey Legacy Project Phone Free Education campaign at the launch at Jodrell Bank of a new £150k initiative to make Cheshire the first county in the UK where ALL state high schools have lockable phone pouches.

With the Police and Crime Commissioner Dan Price, both holding the pouches
