My assignment for Winona Nelson's SmArtschool class: Choose a favorite book and illustrate a cover for it. I picked "The Song of Achilles" by Madeline Miller, and my goal was to capture a similar bittersweet tone as the novel has.
Weird little brain gremlin: My gym is in my garage, and my plates go in very specific places on the rack. Sometimes, when I'm unloading a heavy bar, I'll momentarily put a 5# plate on the 25# peg, and I wonder if it gets a little thrill, like a toddler sitting on a riding lawnmower.
