Can't wait to listen to this one. I will share a point of shame around it. For reasons lost to time, during my sophomore year I was on the committee to select the book given to all incoming freshmen. I suggested Three Cups of Tea, and it was eventually selected by the committee. 🙃

Episode 54: Three Cups of Tea One man's mission to build schools, fight terrorism and promote peace, one private jet reimbursement at a time.

What's crazy is just how little extra work and land this would actually take when doing greenfield development. The marginal cost of building a bike friendly community from scratch is basically zero! Literally 8' of asphalt added to the concrete sidewalks!

Royal Bay in Colwood, BC comes to mind as an example of a developer that tried to do bike-friendly (and generally much nicer) sprawl and (imo) mostly succeeded

Me: "We should make it safer to bicycle for the people who want to but don't feel safe." Them: "Why do you think that everyone can ride a bike? What about a construction worker carrying their tools or a yard worker towing a mower?" Me: 🤦🏻‍♂️

having a hard time disagreeing with any of this. It’s all truly lining up to be her moment, and America should be so lucky to have her decide she’s willing to sacrifice everything to answer the call in service of salvaging this mess.

The left needs a candidate it can unite around in the 2028 primaries and AOC is the only real choice. Nobody else checks all of the boxes. Every other option is worse. If she doesn't run, it's a missed opportunity of historic proportions. www.hamiltonnolan.com/p/aoc-must-r...
