Do you think it might be a scam when you get an email from a marketer claiming she bought your book on Amazon, LOVED it, and wants to introduce it to her network of over 10,000 book clubs? Only problem, the book won't be published for another 3 months! Asking for a friend. 🙂

When you receive a very lengthy email from a well known sci fi/fantasy author telling you how much she liked your book and then she spells her name wrong in the signature—yep scam.

Yesterday, five-year-old Liam and his dad Adrian were released from Dilley detention center. I picked them up last night and escorted them back to Minnesota this morning. Liam is now home. With his hat and his backpack.

Panic = waking up at 4am the day the revisions to line edits are due back and realizing there's a timing issue that could ruin a major plot point. Joy = finding the fix by deleting 2 words. Mystery = how did my brain realize that while I was sleeping and wake me up?
