Years in the making, I finally have a working prototype of my Camera GBD-M2 (previously shared as Game Boy Camera M2). A sequel to the Game Boy Camera M1, this new redesign uses original Game Boy Pocket & Game Boy Camera chips into a camera-like shape roughly the same size as the Ricoh GR III.

I think that if you don't know how to program and you vibe code, you are more like a client than a developer. I think if you don't know how to draw anime boobies and you use gen ai to draw boobies, you are more like a client than an artist.

The players in my OSE/Mythic Bastionland mashup finished their introductory solo sessions, and then finally formed a party this weekend. I was so thrilled at how well this moment went: they got together and started sharing information, including all of their kind of useless maps!

I've been running a mashup of OSE and Mythic Bastionland! It's full analog, no screens. The game is on a hexmap but the players can't see it, and instead they get unhelpful hand drawn maps. Also my DM screen is 4 pieces of cardboard taped together.

Sea of Stars is so damn good. The combat, the environment design, Garl, cooking. It's all so good. I wish it started in media res; the first hour of the game feels very "tutorial" and so far the pace is very slow/cozy. The moment to moment gameplay is so solid that I barely notice tho!

So, “Order of the Sinking Star” by Thekla was just announced, which takes several small free games (two of which are mine) and gives them a major graphical upgrade and mashes up their rulesets. I haven’t been very involved but it’s a great concept and looks cool.

Hironobu Sakaguchi, recently, on his X account, has been posting an absolute treasure trove of design docs and promotional materials from early games. These are early design docs from Final Fantasy 3.
