Notice how of these films thrive on their themes about perseverance and overcoming adversity, even against a seemingly impossible enemy that can’t be defeated. That’s how much artistic expression is worth fighting for.
One thing that I'm glad about from this decade is that a couple of animated projects were initally scrapped by the studios but eventually saved and released to great success. Both Nimona and Coyote Vs. Acme proves that stupid execs and corporations really can't kill great art.
