Trying out demos (probably gonna write something on my own site about the stuff I try in this next fest) and I gotta say Kernel Hearts has me this shit feels so fuckin good to play. I love pretty much everything about it and what it's doing through and through, instantly convinced me to buy it.

Kernel Hearts will launch for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Switch 2, and PC via Steam in September, publisher Whitethorn Games and developer Ephemera announced. A new demo will be available as part of Steam Next Fest: June 2026 Edition on June 15.

I met Kernel Hearts dev @akira51p.bsky.social at GDC last year and he was a delight. We played Tingle's Balloon Fight. He told me about this game. Later, I downloaded his previous game, a point-and-click with a magical girl exploring the ruins of Kowloon Walled City. Can't wait for Kernel Hearts

Gave a game called Kernel Hearts on Steam a try. It's only got a demo out right now but it's pretty neat. Action game that has roguelike elements ala Hades and I swear I'm not making this up but feels like a 3D Mario game in some ways. The girls are nice.
