There is something about african wild dogs that I find extremely difficult to draw. The fur pattern is so random and the dark face markings is super hard to capture. I don’t know if I'm the only one. I spent a long time on this one and I think I finally got it for the first time ever. Really proud

I was born well after 1976, and bicentennial ephemera was still everywhere in my small town in the ‘80s. I felt sad to have missed it! And now sad to have experienced this. I am left with only one option: Stay alive for the tricentennial.

It's hard to convey to someone who didn't experience it how culturally ubiquitous the bicentennial was at the time. Kids had red-white-and-blue SHEETS on their beds. Like many, many, many kids.

I understand the "furry vs what car you drive" thing is biased towards people who love cars but damn is there any wonder we are all in debt? I felt sick to my stomach pulling $6000 out of the bank to buy my Fusion, meanwhile we got 22 year olds spending half their paycheck leasing 2027 BMWs.
