Had the itch to do some character design, so I made this leech/lamprey/swamp-monster-ish thing. I kinda envision her as a mid-boss in a game who hates her job of waiting for the hero to show up and kick her ass.

One of the most difficult things to me about designing a bunch of space bugs is that I truly wonder if they read as grotesque to the person who sees a close-up image of a flys face and reacts in disgust. Because I only find admiration in such images. They're all cute to me.
They fired so many artists over this too. People who helped make the game iconic were tossed out on the street because the Slop Faucet could do it "decent enough". If you still play Fortnite, you're funding the hyper-acceleration of AI replacing Artists in Gaming

I think house centipedes should be considered good luck to see, even if people don’t like them I think they should be universally recognized as a bringer of fortune and prosperity.

With most of my personal drawings being private game planning drawings that lean into the gritty and grotesque, I wanted to make a simple cute toon character that I can put into silly situations. A number of my friends have been making stuff like this, so I wanted one of my own.
