The Church doesn't want you to know this but the Virgin Mary had J Cups

These MFers "its my wife's house" Having a partner who earns over $65k is reason enough to cancel a disabled persons main benefit AND their supplementary benefits, driving the household into material hardship and poverty. Damn straight partners houses count. #nzpol

Really enjoying these explanations like "no, those houses were all built on existing land that I owned (that I will naturally rent out because why else do I have them)" & "I HAD to buy a house in Paihia to save tax money" People are dying, Kim. #nzpol www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/green-par...

Pistol crossbows must be my most hated fantasy trope weapon, they make no sense they look like crap and they're obviously filling in for a firearm.

The cost of the PPP Warkworth boondoggle would have; - gold plated iRex and battery electric ferries - full Dunedin Hospital build - fed every schoolkid around the country for a decade - funded the flu jabs for U-12s - half price public transport for U25's AND HAVE WALKING AROUND MONEY SPARE

Roads, Bootcamps, new regulation ministries, fast tracks, "cost cutting," etc, etc, etc. A genuine opposition party would never stop pointing out the clearly evidenced fact that ALL of these policies are expensive pork barrel scams designed to funnel money to rich mates.

The NZ government rushed to sign us up for one more "Road of National Significance"—but with zero transparency on what it'll actually cost us all, by the time it's paid off. So @connorsharp.bsky.social has done the grim maths. Hold onto your hats, folks! 😬 www.greaterauckland.org.nz/2026/09/01/w...

For what feels like the hundredth time, this should be a *much* bigger story. The coalition govt has made successive decisions here that will needlessly cost us billions of dollars. Bookmark it for the next time some chud blathers on about the cost of bike lanes.

The NZ Govt and Rocket Lab are fully entwined with the US military and have blood on their hands across the globe, including Gaza. This has to end. #nzpol

Excerpt from RNZ article today:

Penk's meeting with Beck and tour of Rocket Lab's Auckland factory in May appears to have been his first engagement as Space Minister after taking over from Judith Collins.

A reception followed at the US consulate, where remarks penned for Penk praised US-NZ space collaboration and added, "We now host the most US space launches of any country outside of the US."Excerpts continued:

New Zealand is in an elite space club on key fronts: it is part of the seven-nation Pentagon-led Operation Olympic Defender; it also has had a much-vaunted deal for space technology transferral with Washington for a decade.

Since last year, the government has lifted a cap on total launch numbers by 10 times to 1000, and freed up testing airspace at Tāwhaki National Aerospace Centre near Christchurch.

kia ora @teanau.bsky.social !! do the Greens know what their red lines are for foreign policy in the outcome of a Labour/Greens government? For example, would the Greens be part of a government allowing RocketLab to continue doing military launches for US war crimes? Or that didn't sanction Israel?

Not only that, but the changes include the temporary jobseeker that many students - WHO ARE STUDYING FULL TIME - rely on to tide them over during the summer between semesters WHEN STUDENT ALLOWANCE STOPS!!! This will place enormous pressure on students and families alike.

Genuinely a bit amazed by how staggeringly tone deaf this is. Like I don't expect the Government to fully acknowledge the scope of the situation they've created, but this is still pretty out there. Youth unemployment is at 30-year high, and he's all like "just find a job"

In Canterbury, we’ve gone from 100,000 cows in 1990 to 1,000,000 now. More than 3 times as much nitrogen fertiliser being spread on fields in that time. Schools have to bring in bottled water because water pollution from nitrates means tap water is not safe to drink. Climate/health crisis #nzpol

Imagine having the reins of power in Government and CHOOSING to either entirely scrap environmental protections or loosen them till they're meaningless. That's the Luxon Govt. Happy for the short term private profits of the few to trump a functional livable environment for everyone else ☠️☠️
