Laws only work when the people upholding them believe they're important and good. Currently the US politicians and justices wipe their ass with the law. Expect Donald Trump to run for president again and nothing to happen to prevent it.

Laws are not self executing. A law is words on paper. A giant piece of paper with "THE LAW" on it isn't going to swoop into the White House and remove Donald Trump. It's not going to stand on the border and stop Israeli bullets. It's not going to stop people from committing sexual assaults.
