I’m no good with grief and some unexpected losses made the past few weeks rough. No writing! No WIPs! But I did end up with a poem, as one does when one is pretentious and gloomy (and beset by a late summer heatwave). Something about contributing a verse? #behold #mybarbaricYAWP

Today I passed a flowering vine
that grew along the way.
He leaned toward me and I leaned back
to hear what he might say:
“I’ve had too much of warmth,” said he,
“the sunshine toils in vain.”
I thought perhaps I knew his heart
for I also long for rain.

I stepped aside to block the light
and cast the vine in shade;
grateful for the brief respite,
he offered up a trade.
Cool, and green, he stretched his hand,
a blossom full in bloom,
and softly said as I breathed deep,
“I grew this just for you.”

Now the Big Bang is officially over, I wanted to share some reflections on my experience as a mod. Please note this is bleak and a little difficult to read in places. I want to give an honest account of how this fandom treats its contributors at times, but I promise it ends on a high note! 🧵 1/4

Tale as Old as Time | GoGe Big Bang@stsgbigbang2025.bsky.social · 4w ago

✨ The Laughter of Foxes ✨ · Rated E · Historical fantasy AU · Shapeshifting · Childhood friends to lovers · Inspired by The Witch of the Westmorland By @weepingpines.bsky.social + @uotuok.bsky.social for the Tale as Old as Time #GoGe Big Bang 📚 #SatoSugu #五夏 🔗 archiveofourown.org/works/888700...

A preview for The Laughter of Foxes by WeepingPines and uotuok styled like a page in a fairytale book. The excerpt reads:

'“She sounds cruel,” Satoru whispered, when Suguru finished the tale. His voice sounded different. Nervous. Frightened. “What does she look like?”

A rush of hot pride welled up in Suguru: pride in his story for earning such fright, and pride in the Witch for being so frightening. She had always been his favorite. Part of him was glad to share her with Satoru, who was already carving a place for himself in Suguru’s chest.

“No one knows for sure,” he said sagely. “She can take all sorts of shapes. Sometimes she’s a fox, sometimes she’s a bird, sometimes she’ll play a hunter or an old, twisted crone. But you can always tell it’s her by the color of her hair. Or her fur, or her feathers. Whatever coat she’s wearing, it’s always, always white.”

Satoru’s face drained of color. He curled in on himself, pulling at his cowl till it was tight around his head. “And—you think she’s a monster?”'

On the opposite side, digital artwork depicts Gojo and Geto in traditional Ainu clothing, embracing with their foreheads pressed together against a misty, mountainous backdrop.

just watched the odyssey! I agree that christopher nolan did something magical with that film: he took an epic so great it survived through millennia, and somehow managed to make it completely forgettable

i've enjoyed reading everyone's answers to the fic writer questions!!! to take a sharp turn into the incredibly stupid, i'm starting another game. play with me?

having lots of thoughts about Geto Suguru, the practitioner, the false monk, dying by the hand of Gojo Satoru, who throughout heaven and earth alone is the honored one (quote pulled from The Tibetan Book of Living and Dying)
