I'm going to point out here that this is ~EXACTLY~ what Project 2025 aims for. The explicit goal is to force women out of jobs and make them dependent on men. The people behind the current administration want "mother and housewife" to be the only paths open for women. It's a regressive regime.

In honor of #ADA36, who is a person with a disability in history most people don’t know but should?

Climate change forces populations out of their homes. It feeds "immigration crises." Fascists use immigration as a lever into power, because fearmongering works. Fascists also want to be able to pollute and exploit without restraint. They will exacerbate climate change for multiple reasons.

This is a useful and sensible thread, but also, the fact that the world burns every summer and at the same time multiple areas of the world are ditching their commitments to tackle climate change, is beyond unhinged. Don't let politics kill us through short-term ist populism.

i've outrun more than a few wildfires in my time and i thought of typing up some advice on doing that but honestly what can i even say because. this many wildfires in regions that do not normally get wildfires like this is a direct result of bad policies and failure to act on climate change.
