🧬 A major step forward for epidemic preparedness The University of Glasgow has joined forces with the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) and The Pirbright Institute to create a new strategic partnership focused on virology research, health security and training the next generation of scientists.

The MRC-University of Glasgow’s Centre for Virus Research (CVR) have received samples from around 20 individuals who were aboard the ship. Professor Emma Thomson, Director of the CVR, said the main aim is to investigate potential treatments and a vaccine:
