This thread is a good example of what’s happening in all corners of this country right now. People on socials complain about people & organizations not “standing up” to Agent Orange, but the reality is that he is actively using the DOJ for his personal vendettas. It’s nothing to scoff at.

Volunteering yourself for such outcomes is an act of bravery, but volunteering someone else ... is not.

This is a great thread. What’s sad is that while almost everyone would say that they want to be judged by more than a number, too many prefer to judge others by some simple metric. Makes it easier to be lazy & avoid actual thought.

DEI at its core is about rejecting the idea that some people deserve to be overlooked; and instead embracing the idea that everyone has value and deserves to be heard. And that is precisely why we need it and why some people hate it.
DEI is really at its core about recognizing that people are more complicated than a single number, that each of us have distinct strengths, and that we all contribute something valuable to the rooms in which we are in.
