1) The reason George Lucas wanted to build this museum is to properly honor illustration as art when it has been so long derided. 2) There is a MAJOR exhibit on the first floor that covers everything from cave paintings to the Sistine Chapel, so where’s the confusion? 3) “curatorial coup” lol

We’re giving Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny a second look, and honestly, this movie is a lot better than a lot of the hate suggests. It’s a little too long, but it’s surprisingly personal and introspective, and it’s a fitting conclusion for Harrison Ford’s adventures as Indy.

We had the opportunity to go to member previews of the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art yesterday, and I can’t stop thinking about it. The building and the grounds are gorgeous, and they did an amazing job curating the collection. I barely scratched the surface and can’t wait to go back. 🖼️ ✍️

Apparently my current reading pet peeve is books set in Denver/Colorado with no sense of the geography and climate of Colorado or where Denver is in relation to the mountains & ski resorts.
Now that my son is into The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit, I can confirm that the Rankin & Bass cartoon version of Gollum is just as nightmare inducing for kids now as it was in the 70’s and 80’s.

I currently work on Fox lot. I have friends in costume, chat w construction etc. Most of Hollywood is not rich. In animation + writing also, a ton of people are out of work, leaving the state. People can’t afford housing. I’m currently ok but have wondered multiple times whether I’ll have to leave.

Taking the good with the bad today. After a summer of no work, I was just offered a very cool project (short term freelance but still exciting) that I’ll be starting soon. But also my agent told me today that she’s retiring, so I will be in need of new representation soon. 😅
