The US buying oil from Russia and embargoing Ukraine is the global system of fascism at work and because a lot of American 'lefties' seem to believe that Ukrainians are genetically pre-disposed to Nazism, there's barely a peep about it from the people we need it from the most.

im trying to fight the urge to be a cynic about all the media coming out nowadays. i feel like you very rarely see people genuinely excited nowadays. and if they are, they hate the show a few months later

i am really curious about avatar seven havens. im just gonna be open to it and will try to find something in it. and if i cant connect with it, so be it. but im so tired of people just reducing works of art that took monumental efforts to make from real humans as 'shit'

you can always be critical but just... idk treat it with at least a little bit of human empathy. we are in a time where the arts, especially animated shows are underfunded and where artists are losing jobs constantly

the way some cartoons end up inspiring mass harassment campaigns is deeply baffling to me

A Tennessee appellate court has ruled that the killing of a woman may have been justifiable because she was trans. The court reversed a conviction, stating that the killer could have a new trial because the jury did not know the woman killed was trans. Trans panic in the modern era.
