Just an FYI. Plymouth Van Lines is the worst. Doubled our move estimate two days before the move after we put down our deposit. Tried to double it again when they arrived. And now despite picking up our stuff in CA on 7/28, they likely won’t drop off in Nebraska until late next week. I hate this.

At long last, I can publicly shout about my brilliant husband’s new position as the Johnny Carson Assistant Professor of Storytelling in Emerging Media Arts at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. (Pretty cool title!) We begin our family road trip to Nebraska this weekend. Goodbye, California!

Elon Musk just became the world's first trillionaire. The typical American household would have to work more than 11 MILLION years to make Elon Musk's level of wealth. We need a wealth tax.

When the Artemis program was first announced, the claim, all over the website, was that the landing mission (which has since been shifted from III to IV) would include "the first woman and the first person of color" to walk on the Moon. Last year, that language was deleted from the NASA site.

Let me be very clear. PAPER TOWNS is not a “controversial book.” In fact, none of the books most frequently challenged in recent memory are in any way “controversial.” The fact that these challenges come from a tiny minority of PEOPLE WHO DO NOT READ should disqualify the word “controversial.” 1/2

With the announcement of the Artemis III crew, I look forward to seeing an all-female crew for the moon landing on Artemis IV. That's how it works right? I'll still celebrate all of the work that the Artemis III crew will do, but it's a bit of a gut punch to not see a woman on the crew.
