Today, I watched #StarTrekSNW's "Tomorrow's Enterprise", and I saw this Uhura ↖️↗️ and this one ↙️↘️. I saw the Uhura that Martin Luther King saw with his family and the one Whoopi Goldberg and Mae Jemison saw as little girls. It was beautiful! Thank you Nichelle Nichols and Celia Rose Gooding!

Here's a neat thing! My mom retired after 25+ as a children's librarian at public libraries yesterday. (It was very cool! Hundreds of former Story Hour kids arrived, some as adults!) I let Ed Markey's office know in case they wanted to send a nice email back and they sent this! He's still got it!

There‘s much to appreciate in Mamdani, but his insistence that culture isn’t a privilege of the rich is one of his strengths.It is reminiscent of how unions and the government treated it in the 1930s -art for the masses - paintings, music, opera, theater - democracy for all.

I wish the major television news shows would reserve a box at the bottom or top of the screen for closed captioning. Sometimes the captions cover info such as the name of the person being interviewed.
