I'm a librarian. I also do a lot of crochet and cross stitch. I do a fair bit of stuff but it's mostly around #infolit #critlit and relationship management in HE. Managing Editor for Journal of Information Literacy.

In National Treasure Book of Secrets they find a book in a secret panel at a specific shelf mark. Shelf marks aren’t static rather they relate to a book’s location within a sequence and therefore the premise of hiding something at a location indicated by a shelf mark is flawed

Prompts a fun question: whats the most niche historical inaccuracy in a piece of work that annoys you Not like 'oh they were referring to the wrong king' , more 'they had the wrong king on a banknote in one scene'

Just a reminder, if you're seeing crochet on clothes at fast-fashion stores and you're not paying a lot for it, the person who did that crochet is not getting paid a lot either. There is no machine-made crochet, unlike knits. A human is doing that with their hands.

This is not a joke: I have a serious bibliographical question about something I'm writing an article on, and this question can probably only be answered by someone who has worked in plumbing for at least 10 years (ideally someone who has been in the industry even longer). Does anyone have a contact?
