Imagine making an invention so bad that the only way you can think of saving it when the industry for it crashes is telling everyone the invention is going to murder them
Insanity. Thanks again, Trump voters. Every day you curse us with a brand new dose of corruption, incompetence and stupidity.
I want you to be informed to make good decisions. You have to start somewhere and this is an action you can take today. Conserving whales and our ocean requires many approaches. The world is still amazing! I still have hope! #krill #supermarket #australia #fyp
Your regular reminder: If the Russians stop fighting, the war ends. If the Ukrainians stop fighting, their land will be occupied, their leaders will be killed, their history and language will be erased, their children will be kidnapped to serve Russia.

I’m not convinced my Uber driver is old enough to drive?
Someone posted the other day that one of the worst, most exhausting aspects of today’s culture is the time and sheer energy we have to expend to try to confirm something we see, read, hear is actually true.
Who is advising students to automate these messages? Why the mass delusion that professors want to read these? What makes me saddest is the erosion of trust. Even the students who take the time to write will now meet readers who are skeptical they wrote the words themselves. Everyone loses.
But the company would access all those recordings and data mine them for anything they could sell. No, they don’t tell people that. Yes, everyone does know it. No, there’s nothing you can do about it.
It's time to clean the catbox It's time to shovel crap It's time to sift used litter While the kitties take a nap
This broke my heart because it gets to the part of this moment that is hardest to confront. The danger was never just the con man. It was the hunger for what he was selling, and the willingness to sacrifice compassion, decency and other people’s humanity to get it. Read this.

So this photo contains zero birds, but in my defence, we were sitting outside waiting for birds. But the sun was almost setting and the backlit Snapdragons stole the show!

This is spectacular, folks. We live in a moment in American history when the president and his administration are so racist and dumb that a toy company has to put out a statement saying: "OUR GIANT ROBOT THAT TURNS INTO A TRUCK DENOUNCES RACISM AND HAS NO CONNECTION TO THE CURRENT PRESIDENT."

All Steve's systems are nervous (But he's trying his best)
Ignorance from wisdom. Corruption from trustworthiness. Morality from evil. Honor from dishonor. The US has a serious long term problem that isn’t just about Trump.
The real problem isn’t just Trump or his sycophantic enablers in Congress or right-wing media, or the grifters & scammers on social media. It’s his supporters. They’ve lost the ability to care about truth or recognize it. The ability to discern right from wrong. Competence from buffoonery.
For the 10th anniversary of the attacks, I decided to put down in writing my experiences on 9/11. It’s not that my story is special—not at all—but memory is a fickle thing, and I wanted to make sure I wouldn’t ever forget what happened that horrible day. Here's that piece, in print & audio format:
A Sad Song Made Better: My 9/11 Story
I was in Midtown Manhattan 25 years ago, when the Towers fell. This is what I remember about that horrible day.

You know, when you find out that the art you like is made by people you've learned hold views you find wholly repugnant, I don't think you need to disavow ever having enjoyed the art. It's okay to acknowledge you liked or loved that art, but are now putting it aside. That was then, this is now.
Job applicants are using AI to write resumes and prep interview answers. Companies are using AI to screen those applications and conduct initial interviews. We’ve officially automated both sides of a process meant to measure human connection. The irony is genuinely unreal.
