That said: Asha Sharma IS currently playing a bullshit PR game where she’s really just saying hollow things people want to hear in order to attempt to rebrand, so it’s possible they will hold onto discs for a while solely for that? But I doubt it, and if they do it won’t last long.
I think Xbox will also get rid of discs. They don’t care much about a ‘leg up’ on PlayStation and haven’t for years. Both companies are actually actively competing with other streaming services and social media - Netflix, YouTube, etc., as well as digital services like Roblox.
