The scene in I Saw the TV Glow where Owen frantically scrubs the Pink Opaque ghost off his neck always hurts. There was one time when I was 15 and a friend painted my nails on the way to a multi day school trip. It made me happy in a way that I couldn’t articulate.
I think a lot about the time I criticized the Biden administration for doing so little, esp for trans ppl, and a friend became furious at my ingratitude because they were focusing on tort reform, and setting the groundwork to legally muzzle a potential second trump term. Great job, guys!

This shouldn’t even be a controversial statement. No matter how you interpret the term “terrorism,” the U.S. has done it to civilians in orders of magnitude greater than al-Qaeda across the globe. If you’re unaware of that fact, maybe consider why that is.

Thinking about that time i was in Bellevue and I overheard two guys in their early 20s talking about how one was working with Brianna Wu, and then segued into talking about bringing Christian values to tech. It was on my birthday no less.

It’s fucked up that when something gets adapted into a movie, it’s always live action. I don’t want to see a live action Metal Gear movie. I want to see an ambitious 2d animated adaptation with the established visual style of Yoji Shinkawa or Ashley Wood.
