Why is keyboard backlighting a thing? How do things like this become a trend? How do you use a keyboard like that. Especially for gaming - wouldn't it be distracting?

Some minis from a very long time ago. Metal figures, on 40mm bases, from the game Dark Age. If I recall correctly, painted with oils (which I don't do anymore). This was in 2020. #miniatures

A tall person with a bone-colored faceplate. Dirty, grimy colors, meat-looking flesh, and chitinous shield.Another similar figure, holding a staff horizontally. The staff and some tiny lights on their belly plate, glow green. Two more figures, pale, with hook-like clubs.
Both have unsettling black spheres poking out from under the skin. Two more, with red flesh protruding from sickly skin.
These have one arm replaced with a sawblade, with a spiky mask with no eyeholes. Both carry a shield.

My first 1/72 project in a very long time. The house is entirely scratchbuilt, the mech is kitbashed from a bootleg Sheik Mainland kit, the pilot is from some 1/72 helicopter, with sculpted bits.

A bulky mech, resting inside a thoroughly destroyed city building.
The pilot is likewise resting - on top of the hull, with legs still inside the cockpit.
There is wallpaper behind, on all three floors diferent. And snow - both on the rubble, on the floors, and the mech.Close-up of the upper half of the mech, with the pilot.
The mech is painted dark green, with dark grey and off-white stripes.
The pilot wears dark uniform, white helmet and orange armored vest.View from the right side.
The building has a small staircase leading to an open metal door.
The mech's arm is holding a mech-scale rifle.View from the back, with mech mostly obscured.
This side of the building is largely a featureless yellowish wall, ith a blue number plate and and a drainage pipe.

Since I'm digging up my old Fallout fan art, here's another bit. It may come as a surprise, but I like the American flag as an ornament. Too bad it is attached to something so abhorrent. #miniatures

A group of post-apocalyptic raiders, led by a green-skinned giant holding a banner.
The banner is decorated with animal bones, and is comprised of an American flag hanging vertically.

It seems, New Vegas DLCs are plagued by issues with player agency regardless of who writes them. No penis dialogue this time, but a lot of mormon preaching from a guy who murdered civilians for several decades on behalf of a slaver army. On top of weird Native stereotypes straight out the 1950s.

Does anyone know who designed Deathwatch shotgun for 40k? It happened after they stopped authorship attribution, around 2014. That design has a bizarre, fixed shell holder in place of sights. I'm curious what prompted this design decision, and why it stuck with spacemarine shotguns from then on.

I have previously shown my 1/35 scale sculpt of Elster from Signalis, and this is a finished model. However, I'm using her as a particularly tall robot woman for my megastructure project (in 1/56 scale). #miniatures

A kneeling dark figure, with a complicated recoilless gun on her shoulder.
The gun was just shot, and a large bright blast can be seen behind it.View from the right side, focused on the gun an the blast.Same model, together with a human figure for scale. Kneeling, she is a bit taller than the standing human.
An empty shell can be seen within the blast, thrown back along with it.
