Hey, folks! I'm extending the Cursed Morsels: A Food Systems Horror Anthology call, so you now have until September 28th to submit a story. I was worried I wouldn't have enough stories to fill the book, so it seemed like the right move. Details here: cursedmorsels.com/submission-c...

Sorry but if antivaxxers were truly looking for people to just treat them kinder they wouldn’t have aligned themselves with every single hate movement that exists, and it’s intolerant to everybody else to act as if that’s not exactly who they are

You want queer communist BIPOC trans art but you also want it from people spending millions on propping up fascist regimes. You are a fucking child. Turn off the cartoons and engage with material reality for two seconds. These people are your enemy.

the whole idea behind MAHA and the griftosphere more generally is that there is One Neat Trick and that is why they fundamentally do not and can never have a point even if there are small benefits to some particular thing there is no One Neat Trick and never will be

Second, MAHA isn’t all that concerned with treatment of disease anyway. Its core claim is that nearly all diseases can be prevented through virtuous lifestyles. If we were all drinking raw milk and taking zinc supplements, we wouldn’t be coming down with heart disease and depression and COVID.

If you've ever worked on a farm, at a ranch, in a food bank, at a grocery store, in a food shipment warehouse, at a food marketing firm, or at any other food systems-related job, I'm very interested in the story you might submit to our food systems call. cursedmorsels.com/submission-c...

Coming this Friday from Jack Finn and Crystal Lake Publishing! He Who Has Done Evil is a chilling fusion of historical fiction and supernatural terror, where colonial sins return with teeth and claws to prove the ghosts of empire do not rest, they hunt.

Nearly all stores that sell new books can order a book for you even if they don't have it on their shelves. Here's a quick thread about how that works, and how it's ESPECIALLY helpful for writers who self-publish or have work with small presses.

If you check out @ninocipri.bsky.social on insta, you can see why it's so helpful to authors to request/pre-order books in stores and how it works in real time! www.instagram.com/reel/DakqVmu...

Stop complane about art engmanet being low if you not actively sharing and supporting others art. Nothing on here gets seen without that support to get it on the timeline. You want more art then it’s just that easy to just engage with it even just by commenting on the art you like.

This is just to say... I have stolen the work that you spent years creating and which you were probably hoping would pay your bills But online sharing doesn't count It's actually a compliment So fuck you BTW, I'm a fan

Spaces for kids have been destroyed or re-worked into stores, adult spaces aren't allowed to be actually "adult" lest we anger the CC companies, and supposedly neutral spaces are full of gambling/porn ads, disinformation, and right-wing pipelines. An internet that is increasingly not for anyone.

Anyway, this quote ... “We sent it out to actors, and no Black actors wanted to play in a movie where there are no good Black people,” he said. “And it sort of died. But then AI came along, and I didn’t need Black actors.” ... is a perfect example of exactly who AI was created for.

"Is this a flea bite or a tiny kitten scratch" new horror story coming soon. Also fun fact unrelated to anything in my life right now, did you know that sticktight fleas carry plague?

Part of being a kitten is just pausing to have an existential crisis every so often as the weight of existence beads down upon you and you glimpse the horrors through the veil. Then your brain reboots and you flip over and resume playing.

A tiny tuxedo kitten looking a little worried. His eyes are pale green and have seen the secrets of the universe.
