Most of us are too disconnected from our bodies to react with the appropriate force to fascists and their baby bigot brothers. Socializing into empire required a forgetting of bodily autonomy and a depression of instinctual reflexes. Thankfully, this is a skill that you can relearn.

I often think about the fact that the early enslaved Africans were literally worked to death. They weren't "taken care of" so that they could work for a long time. They were worked to death, disposed of, and replaced. Nowhere is livable because they don't care if we die. We're tissues.

Do white people ever think, "I wonder what it would be like if every book I read or TV or film only had Black people in them?" Just constantly inundated with images of Black people, in our vastness. Probably not, but, I dare say, it would change how they view everything. Representation matters.
