Glad someone senior from the sector is pushing back. Labour MPs need to understand the serious real anger from graduates and the people who produce them. And the dangerous financial situation they have allowed to fester, or indeed worsened, in one of Britain’s leading sectors.

Racist leader. After this ruling, in particular, I feel that media lawyers would not consider that description inaccurate.
This has been a rough week for AI submissions at the journal, but it's also led to some reflection around why I seem to react so strongly to academics using AI to write their papers and make up references for them. 1/9

Fascinating two days in the archives reading BUF publications. I'd never read the materials they published after the start of WWII; they were like a(n antisemitic) dog with a bone, and it's obvious why many of them were interned.
As this year’s Hundred gets underway, worth remembering this presentation from our #CRN2026 conference which blew away the facade of gender equality surrounding the comp. In the era of new owners, this is the kind of thing to watch / listen out for.
Our 1st panel at #CRN2026 is on Gender. Two brilliant presentations first up centring on lived experience of female cricketers in franchise comps, including The Hundred. Huge contrast between hype of "equality" & persistent disparities in Georgia Norman's interviews with players. I gasped at this!
Very sad news. May the road rise up to meet him.
