Not even 08:00 & I've learnt that chickens lay eggs out of their poop shoot. They don't have seperate hoo-hars & bum holes.
Now it's been pointed out, it's what I consider my local mountain Skiddaw.
Forgot to post this lovely pic of Blencathra - seen from the Newlands Pass - yesterday due to the Lake District round Keswick was so rammed with cars it was quicker to drive over a mountain & round 3 lakes to get home.

#homebrew over bar the washing up. 94% pale malt, 6% acid malt, Whole Hallertaur Blanc hops in the boil. US-05 (recycled) yeast. 1ml AMG enzyme. I have 29 litres of 1.042 gravity NZ Brut IPA wort which should ferment down to 1.002. Nelson Sauvin pellets to be added to the fermenter after 48hrs.
#homebrew off to a challenging start with no US-05 for my NZ Brut IPA. Have put a bottle of beer made with US-05 in the fridge to harvest the yeast from later this arvo.
Beer on a Friday night is a very serious subject & frivolity should play no part.
The problem with living in a town with one doctor's surgery & one school is that if they are shit*, then you're stuck with them. This is literally my doctor's surgery. *they are.

Remember when Cascade hops were all the rage around the turn of the millennium & their orangey grapefruit citrus flavour spawned the West Coast IPA? This is a #homebrew all Cascade (whole in the boil, pellets in the fermenter) IPA that seems a little tame nowadays. Still smashing though.
One good thing about the heatwave was not having to bring washing in off the line to finish drying indoors. Seems such a faff now.
Found an alternative to “Live, Laugh, Love” for my flat that suits my levels of misanthropy
The last bottle of my #homebrew Bergamot Saison opened this evening. A little gush meant it's not quite as clear as it could be, but it's still a good beer. I'll certainly brew another one.

I guess the lessons to learn from last night's drinking is; 1. The trendier the brewery, the more likely you'll have a chicken soup murky & the label won't mention it. 2. Brewing beer yourself means you know *exactly* what is in it & what you are getting.
I haven't seen this since it came out at the cinema - mostly because it used to cost more than £5 & my rule was all Bridget Fonda films rated over 5.0 that are under a fiver - but it's free on Prime. www.imdb.com/title/tt0111...

OK I only bought the other beers because I wanted this one & they were on spesh. I'm sure it's someone's cup of tea, but yet again if they'd said NEIPA on the tin I could have left it on the shelf.
Well this one had hazy on the label, so it's my own fault. At least Citra hops go well with sweet NEIPA beers. Again though, if it had said NEIPA on the label I could have left it on the shelf.
