Lougheed also helped create Kananaskis Country as a series of provincial parks for us to enjoy for free. The UCP now charge usage fees. In '76 he protected the Eastern Slopes from coal mining. The UCP gave it to foreign interests to mine. I suspect Premier Lougheed would be no fan of the UCP.

In 1974, the government of Peter Lougheed declared the first Monday in August to be Heritage Day, an official holiday to celebrate multiculturalism and our heritage roots. #Alberta #ableg #abpoli

I joined WestJet workers on the line because they deserve to be paid for the work they do and the critical safety they provide passengers every day. The federal gov’t must not interfere with workers’ right to collectively bargain. Workers deserve a fair deal at the table, not political meddling.
