Very much here for paying entrance fees for visiting cathedrals etc as I fully understand the expense of their upkeep, but would it be too much to ask for a pdf guide book on the statues, stained glass, history etc to come free with the €12?
My world slightly rocked today in tasting a pink variant of Aligoté. Endorsed highly by the flock.
By absolute chance I did the same with music. I had a 70s childhood of male dominated bands. After a break of a few decades in 2013 I came back to live music and found myself listening entirely to female voices/bands. Some male voices have slipped in too but it’s predominantly female voices.
You can/should read Emily Wilson's latest take on the Odyssey, but I'm logging on to convey my hairdresser's reaction. She was AGHAST that Nolan, with his million $ budget, gave Matt Damon ONLY 6 hair extensions. As a result, his hair did not blow around properly, & that ruined the film for her.

Megan is right. History is sorting facts. Every historical period has a list of innate truths that exist independent of human deduction. Each fact is an absolute, unchanging, abstract essence. I have so much free time now that my computer can sort the facts for me.
