Their best defense against the growing challenge from the left would be simply to meet the moment and act more aggressively against Trump. If they just did that, half the energy behind DSA challenges would dissipate and they'd be safe. But no, they'd rather punch left in a panic.

Chad Loder@chadloder.dev · 2d ago

The Democratic party leadership fighting harder against the DSA than they do against Trump really says something. These people gotta go, man

It would be cool if the FBI would actually do something useful for a change and start investigating the lynchings of Black people that are becoming an epidemic across the South. The world's purported preeminent law enforcement agency sitting on its hands as this happens makes me physically ill.

14 hours later and my mentions are still full of angry treatises about badly behaved cyclists. Bike lanes are not a reward for good cyclist behavior! They are infrastructure proven to make cities safer for ALL ROAD USERS. Whatever way cyclists have wronged you is irrelevant to the discussion!

Katie Mack@astrokatie.com · 2d ago

Every conversation about bike lanes is like: "Car crashes kill a huge number of people every day, including pedestrians, cyclists, & car occupants. Good bike infrastructure has been shown to make everyone safer (& doesn't increase congestion)." "But sometimes cyclists break rules & hit people!"

Oh the Democrats now claim they want to abolish the entity that Trump admin is able to use at scale due to the violent infrastructure that the Biden admin funded and built as it carried out the unrealized sick ambitions of the first Trump admin? Abolish ICE. Don't abolish facts and accountability.

March 2024 article on Biden funding ICE at dramatically high Trump-era levels and giving ICE more power to abuse immigrants communities
Michael Kapp@michaelkapp.com · 3d ago

BREAKING: the Democratic National Committee just unanimously approved a resolution calling for the abolition of ICE! After terrorizing our friends, families, and neighbors, ICE has no place in our nation. I'm grateful @democrats.org agreed. Now we're onto the hard work to make that happen!

They ran out of weapons, didn't realize how low they were, thought it was already solved, & now that they realize it isn't, they're all Gotta Go Fast on production with a reduced workforce & fewer safety checks? I'm sure that won't AT ALL lead to catastrophic equipment failures and own-side deaths 👍🏾

They started canceling DEI programs under Biden and Democrats, well before November. Some of y'all on here cracked "Woke is over!🤡" jokes while Black women were being laid off by the thousands. Many of y'all were very OK with that.🤷🏿‍♂️ Now Trump is doing this to all women. Now we care. Shared fate.

Working our way up the list! First we got rid of 300,000 Black women from the Federal government. Now we've expanded to women in general, from the economy at large. It's 2026, and I'm still explaining how getting rid of all the women from your workforce makes it less smart and less capable.

Answering earnestly: yes it does. Because it removes the perverse incentives that allow selfish US white Dem voters to keep ruining the world. The world is terrible because for 80+ years, Black folk in the US reliably voted for slightly less bad Hitler over full Hitler. That spell is now broken.

In a general election, if one candidate supports killing one million people and and the other candidare supports killing that same million plus another million, does boycotting that election do anyone any good?

Except... The Purge was not an absurd premise? It was real, and really happened. The real life version of the purge wasn't one night a year. It was every single night. Again, a lot of dystopian horror is just "What if someone treated us the way we treated Black people?"

Mekka Okereke@mekka.mekka-tech.com · 6mo ago

The Purge is fictional, and is just one day a year. But sundown towns are real, and the free license to murder and commit other atrocities was available every night of the year. Every. Night. In case it's not on the nose enough, The Purge trailer even uses a sundown town siren.🤡

Anyone running middle or high school classes where you give kids cheap blank phones & teach them to deconstruct them? I feel like getting people at an early age w/ things like "what do API calls do?" & "what are your phones/apps doing when you're not touching them?" would be good on multiple levels…

And I don't argue with folks about how much of the racist 70s, 80s, and 90s war on drugs legislation Biden was personally responsible for. Instead of arguing with them, I let Biden tell it in his own words. The Dems, GOP, civil rights workers, criminal justice reformers and Biden himself, all agree

Part of the reason we see so much backlash against Flock right now is that it’s become apparent to everyone that the system isn’t only capturing Black folks and immigrants, but instead it’s scooping up everyone.
