You may recall the case where Lynne Freeman sued Tracy Wolff for writing a YA set in Alaska where the male lead was hot and broody, just like in Freeman's book. This litigation went on for three years before a judge finally read both books and said there was zero infringement.

so tired of youtube showing me these 'chinese gl dramas' that are ai-generated even worse: they rack up views in the hundreds of thousands and there are people in the comments gushing over how stunning the actresses are and how much 'chemistry' they have
