This is a thing that has stood out to me: Belgium's argument really makes no sense. Article 27 exists. You can say it is overly broad or that it sucks. Or that it insulted your mom! It still exists and FIFA already used it in *this tournament* to suspend match bans!

Yeah yeah yeah, it all looks bad—the Trump call, the lack of transparency, etc. I agree. But Belgium et al. are making a textual argument about what words mean in the FIFA regs/code. And the words plainly don't mean what they're suggesting.

Final #SCOTUS ruling is birthright citizenship. For a 6-3 majority (Thomas, Alito & Gorsuch, dissenting), Chief Justice Roberts *strikes down* President Trump's executive order purporting to limit which individuals born in the United States would automatically be US citizens; preserves status quo:

Approaching 40 minutes now to issue (essentially) three opinions. Ridiculous and over dramatic.

So campaign finance is next and then birthright citizenship.

Even from a cursory read, the dissenting opinions are more thoughtful and nuanced than what you're seeing from the majority, especially from Thomas.

I think we all can agree the Transgender case is hard and nuanced. Too bad we don’t have a Supreme Court that can decide hard and nuanced cases.

Did not foresee the liberals agreeing that Title IX allows states to ban transgender athletes.
